Workshops and Events
Open Day - 27 September 2025
Finding a therapist can be difficult with so many independent practitioners to choose from.
I'm offering a day of free 30 minute introductory sessions for people who might be curious about therapy and want to dip a toe in.
This gives a bit more space than my usual 15 minute introductory call, before committing to a full initial consultation.
If you've been thinking about starting therapy, book in and we can explore what is bringing you and you can get a feel for how it might be to work with me.

Everyone is unique with individual challenges, gifts and stories and I am committed to working in a way that is in the service of your individual journey. Gestalt Therapy is a form of counselling or psychotherapy that is founded on a belief in people's innate capacity to grow, develop and change. This capacity supports us to know who we are, what we need and want and to live in relationship with ourselves and others.
Sometimes, this capacity gets interrupted and we may find that we go about our life in a limited or rigid way, feeling like there aren't many choices available in how we respond to the unpredictable nature life and our changing wants and needs. In Gestalt Therapy, we believe that developing awareness, experiencing and understanding more of how we feel, think and do can help us to regain our capacity to grow and change and live satisfying lives.
One of the great things about Gestalt Therapy is that it addresses the ways in which our experiences in the past, particularly childhood, shape the ways we see ourselves and live in the world now. We do more than just gain insight about this, we actively experiment with using that insight to make new choices and form new beliefs in the present, in the service of your future.
The flexibility and creativity of Gestalt Therapy means that there is lots of scope for us to draw on a range of methods and approaches during our working together. This can include working with art materials and objects, using movement and bodywork, as well as sitting and talking. I bring both support and challenge and my full engagement in our work together. You can read more about my particular approach here.
